In 1986, he taught a course on Chinese Maritime Law and Practice at the Graduate School of the University of East Asia, Macau, for lawyers from Hong Kong, Macau and Southeast Asia;

From March to May 1988, he was invited to the Australian National University, the University of Sydney, the University of Melbourne, etc.

In June 1995, he held a lecture on Chinese maritime law at Tulane University Law School in the United States.

In October 1998, he gave lectures at Soochow University, Ocean University, Donghai University and Feng Chia University in Taiwan.

During this period, he served as deputy director of the Department of Economic Law and Director of the Department of International Economic Law of China University of Political Science and Law.

Legal Practice

He was qualified as a lawyer in 1982 and worked as a part-time lawyer until 2000. He acted as an agent in many litigation and arbitration cases involving disputes involving foreign maritime affairs, foreign marriage, Sino-foreign joint ventures, etc., and handled a large number of non-litigation consulting businesses.

Since 1982, as an arbitrator, he has handled nearly 300 cases involving international trade, Sino-foreign joint ventures, Sino-foreign cooperation, maritime transportation, marine insurance, charter parties, ship collisions and other disputes. Since 1982, he has participated in the legislative work of China's Maritime Law, Foreign-related Economic contract Law, Import and Export Commodity Inspection Law and other foreign-related economic laws.

In 1989, he was awarded the title of "Excellent Teacher" and honorary certificate by Beijing Higher Education Bureau

In 1990, he was awarded the title and certificate of "National Excellent Teacher" by the State Education Commission.

In 1991, Maritime Law (editor-in-chief) was awarded the Ministry of Justice "Ministry of Justice Excellent Textbook Award"
